Introducing: the New Life Harvest Community site

All of us are not new to social media, not the least Facebook. We use them to share our interests and hobbies, post articles, photos, and video on our walls, and have conversation with friends and loved ones. NLH Community is pretty much the same, minus the ads and many worldly feeds and distractions. The main difference is that it is a closed community, which means all that all communication and interaction are intended to enhance cooperation, encourage service, and edify the faith of everyone here.

This community is focused on these areas: Profile, Groups, Forum and Blog.

Profile

Profile is where you introduce yourself by providing some basic information about you. This helps everyone get to know you as a person and a fellow believer in Christ. The information is pretty basic and viewing is restricted to members only.

Groups

Groups is where interaction and cooperation primarily takes place. Each group corresponds to our ministry teams, small groups, bible classes, communities, and fellowships in real life. (For example, the Leadership Council group is composed of the elders, deacons, team leaders and ministry leaders.) Each group is led by a Moderator, who is basically the team leader.

The groups serve in the same as Facebook groups. The main advantages of these groups are: (1) they are in one place (this community); (2) they integrated and interconnected with other groups; and, (3) there are no distractions. Plus, we have full control of our data.

Forum

The forum is for discussion on specific topics. Everyone is encouraged to participate in forum at relates to them. There is a forum that is open to all and there are forums for those involved in ministry.

Communication is a key ingredient in good relationships and successful endeavors. Do not be afraid to communicate, and do your best to learn how to communicate with one another, especially we are all sons and daughters of God who have a singular goal, which is to glorify God in our lives by obeying His will and fulfilling His purpose.
